SXTV and broadcasting Center is located in Taiyuan, an ancient city with a history of 2500 years, the capital of Shanxi Province. The master plan concept derives from Shanxi traditional courtyard pattern to fit in the modern and comprehensive function requirements. It includes SXTV tower, TVCC, a grand theatre, service Building, a media park, a celebration square and an earth station. The architecture is characterized by a curtain wall with the diagonal grid frame of different sizes. The elevation shows the Chinese philosophy of “Yin and Yang” which create a very attractive curved surface for the landmark building.
The building complex has a large size. However, the design provides an excellent function solution and clear organization for various people flows.
